*Fun facts included*
Koalas aren't bears as many people are led to believe. They aren't even related to bears. The koala is related to the kangaroo and the wombat and is a marsupial mammal. The reason the koala is called a koala bear is because the koala looks like a teddy bear.
The koala's scientific name is Phasclarctos Cinereus
Such a weird name~

KOALA'S DO NOT DRINK WATER!
The name Koala came from an Australian Aboriginal dialect; it means “animal that does not drink.”
Since koala mostly eat eucalyptus leaves, which provide them with the water they need, they do not drink water (or rather, they rarely do)

ReplyDeleteKoalas are cute. I wander what did koalas smell since they didn't drink water.
ReplyDeleteThe blog has a fun feel to it, which is good. However, the blog post has a too low word-to-pictures ratio. While it may be fun, it lacks some written information on the topic, which makes the blog post seem more like a picture gallery. It is very concise and short, which is good. A bit more of this would be better. The pictures are of good quality, though. The background is superb, it has a very nice colour scheme which fits perfectly with the pictures as well. However, highlighting the words black against a grey background is not advisable as it gives negative emphasis which destroys the artistic feel of the blog. Good use of different colours for the words for interest, and although short, the blog post has plenty of facts. Lastly, good use of an embedded Youtube link, as well as an external link to another website. Great work!
ReplyDeleteVery good observation Elaine!
DeleteVery informative blog about koalas. But why do koalas look so stoned?
ReplyDeleteI think your post about Koalas are quite interesting .Very cute photos of Koalas. Good variety .I like your blog! Keep up the good work !
ReplyDeleteThanks for spreading this cuteness around us. My impression on koalas are always "stink!" But I am not aware that they are not bears (well, I need to start correcting this in front of my baby) and they don't drink! Thanks for the fun facts! In terms of the blog design, I sort of agree with Elaine on most of the comments and suggestions. But, I find it funny as we know that koalas are mainly from Australia but your video is from Edinburgh :)
